Satin Black version of  Le Creusets Shallow Cast Iron Casserole.  This beautiful piece is finished inside and out in satin-black enamel with a contrasting stainless steel knob. Traditionally made in Northern France, the shallow casserole provides the same quality we have come to expect from Le Creuset's famous enameled cast iron ware but in the shallow, wide-based style. This allows more direct contact between the food and the heat source,  thus ensuring even and thorough cooking at any temperature.

Best used on medium to low heat, these energy efficient, versatile casseroles can be used both inside and on top of the oven and are ideal for an array of  cooking tasks such as braising, stir-frys, curries and even paellas... as well as stews and casseroles of course!
