Naturally
energy efficient, they retain heat and so are best used on medium to
low temperature and are suitable for use both inside and on top of the
oven. Typically, saute your meat, onions, mushrooms etc on the hob,
then add your other ingredients and stock. Put the lid on, bring
everything up to simmering point and place the casserole in a low oven
and let it simmer slowly for the required time. Your casserole will be
perfect.
